Junior Certificate Examination
Results Notification
As soon as the results are released, stakeholders in the Ministry of Education, schools and candidates are issued with reports to inform them about the performance of candidates.
Ministry of Education departments together with all Regional Offices are issued with Grade Listing Publication report showing subject grades and overall grades for all the candidates by centre. The departments and the Regional Offices are also issued with a summary report, summarising national performance by subject, comparing performance by gender, as well as comparing the performance of candidates in that year with the previous performances.
Schools are issued with Grade Listing School Version report. This report shows performance of candidates in that centre as well as a summary of candidates' performance by subject. Accompanying the school report are result slips for each candidate showing their overall grade and their performance in each subject. The result slips are to be distributed to candidates by the school.
Private candidates are notified of their results through the post office. Their result slips are posted to them directly using their addresses which they used when registering for the examination.
Later on after queries about the results have been resolved, the following
reports are generated; Examination booklets, National Grade Frequencies
by Subject, Schools ordered by performance, Overall Grades by Centre
Group, National Grade Frequencies by Subject and Centre, Merit Listing,
Alpha Listing. These reports are used by Schools, Departments in
the Ministry of Education, Examinations, Research and Testing Division
other stakeholders. Certificates are then generated for candidates.
