Secondary Level Examination
At seconday school level the Examinations Research and Testing Division administers the Junior Certificate Examination (JCE) and the Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE).

Junior Certificate Examination (JCE)
The JCE examination is administered at the end of the third year of the Junior Certificate (JC) course to measure the achievement level of candidates at that point.

Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE)
The BGCSE is the localisation of the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC). The localisation process includes marking, development of syllabuses, setting of papers, administration, processing, grading and grade reviews.
